Prayer is more than asking. Like meditation it’s reflection, listening, and receiving guidance. Discover how miracles unfold in unexpected ways.
Prayer has been in the news lately and this is the perfect time to dig deeper into what prayer is and isn't. For those of you who know me, I feel strongly that everyone should have a meditation practice. So let's explore together.
Prayer and meditation are synonymous and too often both are framed around asking—asking for healing, asking for change, asking for miracles. And yes, prayer is powerful in this way. But what if we’ve been overlooking its full depth?
Prayer, much like meditation, is a threefold practice: reflection, asking, and listening. Most of us have mastered the asking part. But reflection and listening are often left behind.
The truth is, prayer does bring miracles. Yet they don’t always arrive on our timeline or in the exact form we expect. Universal energy is always moving toward our good. Sometimes the answer looks different. Sometimes it’s bigger than what we even dared to ask for.
Here are two things to remember in your prayer practice:
🌟 Be mindful of how you ask. Are you pleading from a place of fear, or genuinely asking for help and guidance? The energy behind your prayer matters.
🌟 Don’t hang up too soon. Before you end your prayer, pause. Listen. Notice nudges, synchronicities, or quiet insights. The conversation doesn’t stop when you say “Amen.” It continues into your day and week ahead.
Prayer is not a monologue—it’s a dialogue. When you allow space for stillness, you invite the answers in. They may come as a feeling, a thought, a synchronicity, or a moment of peace.
Journaling Prompt:
Think of a recent prayer or request you’ve made. How might the answer be showing up in ways you haven’t considered? What nudges, synchronicities, or feelings might be guiding you?
