Feeling overwhelmed or burned out? Discover a simple spiritual practice to relax, reset, and reconnect with ease and inner peace.
Sometimes we don’t realize how hard we are pushing until our body, mind, or spirit finally says, “Enough.”
Burnout doesn’t usually arrive all at once. It sneaks in quietly.
A little tension here.
A little overwhelm there.
A little “I just need to get through this one more thing.”
And before we know it, we’re exhausted, anxious, and wondering why everything feels so heavy.
One of the simplest ways I’ve found to shift that energy is to take a time out.
Not a dramatic life overhaul.
Not a week away in the mountains.
Just a pause.
When you begin to feel uncomfortable, stressed, anxious, or buried under your to-do list, stop for a moment.
Close your eyes.
Take three deep breaths.
Let your shoulders soften.
Give yourself five or ten minutes to come back to yourself.
That little pause can change everything.
Because when we are overwhelmed, we often start micromanaging life. We try to control every detail, fix every problem, and carry every responsibility ourselves.
But we were never meant to do it all alone.
There is wisdom in pausing.
There is power in stepping back.
There is relief in remembering that the Universe can meet us when we stop trying to manage every moving part.
This is why I love the Placemat Process.

It helps you stop spinning and start co-creating.
So this week, give yourself permission to relax a little.
Take the time out.
Breathe.
Listen inward.
And let yourself remember:
You do not have to carry it all.
