In my Monday night group, I am always stressing the need for a daily practice. Without a daily practice, it will be very difficult to navigate through the tough stuff when it happens. A lot of times I will hear teachers allude to the idea that if you do this or that, your life will be wonderful. That oftentimes causes people to think that bad things won't happen. This way of thinking is not correct. It may sound like I am splitting hairs here but there is a very subtle difference to what I am saying.
Hear my words. When you have a daily practice, it makes it easier to navigate through the difficult times. Difficult times as in the chaos you will see around you. You will see it and you will have to make the appropriate changes but you will not be caught up in it.
It isn't too late to start a daily practice. In fact, with all that is going on, you may very well want to start one now. Why? Because you will begin to alleviate the stress that our current situation is causing for many people. When you release the stress, your energy rises and that, my friends, is where the answers are. The guidance to know where to be and when, whether for toilet paper or to avoid an infected person who doesn't know it yet. The guidance to know what to do to support yourself through this. All the answers are within you.
Case in point, this morning as I was meditating or should I say I was trying. lol I really couldn't quiet my head. It kept reporting back to me all the work we needed to get done. The preparations that needed to be made and the what-if's.
As I talk about in my journaling class, when this happens, this is when you break out the journal and start listening to what is really on your mind. As I wrote, all the ideas of inspirations were coming through from Spirit but mixed in were the tasks of my mind and then there they were the what-if's. The what-if's then segued into the how is this going to work out. There it was. A little bit of fear starting to take hold. For a brief moment, I could hear my mind begin its downward spiral of fear. I acknowledged to my mind, that yes, there is a lot we don't know right now. However, the "how" is not our business. It isn't our work. It is the work of Divine Wisdom, Spirit, God, you put the name on it. The Mighty All That Is has a handle on the whole enchilada. All we have to do is have Faith in that.
Now if you are beginning to question your Faith in the Divine, then you better start your practice now. A good dose of daily meditation and journaling until you find it. Because you are going to need it right now my friends. The bonus of doing so, you will also help to uplift the planet through this, dare I say mess.
My bad if I break into a plug for my classes. Take a look below for ways to know more about my work or other member of the SCN. I can get you started and answer some of those scary questions you have on your mind.
All my love friends. Together we can do this.
